With the social development and scientific progress, competitive sports have become more and more intense. Thus, it is of great importance for the cause of competitive Wushu routines of Fujian province to reply the challenge, to make more contributions to the development of Chinese Wushu, to train more outstanding athletes and to strive for better places in domestic and international competitions.Interview, questionnaire, literature review and mathematical statistics are applied to investigate the the present training situation of reserve athletes of Wushu routines in Fujian, to identify the major contradictions and problems arised in the course of personnel training. Moreover, specific measures are put forward to strengthen and enhance the level of competitive Wushu of our province. Therefore, this paper can provide reference for developing more elite reserve athletes for our country. Through this research, main conclusions are drawn as follows:In Fujian, the cultivation of reserve talents of competitive Wushu routines is mainly carried out in Amateur Sports Schools and Wushu schools in Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou and Zhangzhou. These 4 regions possess a comparative higher level of training and competition as a whole, and have more athletes in training than other regions, and the male athletes is more than female athletes in amount.Athletes of competitive Wushu routines in Fujian have relative less interest and poor scores in general knowledge course learning, and show lower self-evaluations in study. The contradiction between cultural learning and sports training is getting more significant. Heavy tasks of training and competition have become a major influencing factor of their school records.The structure of age and gender of Fujian Wushu coaches is irrational. Levels in educational background and professional titles are generally lower. Primary coaches lack of training opportunities and they have weak awareness of scientific research. Furthermore, they have relatively better grasp of specialized theories of Wushu, but poor of general theories. Most of the coaches surveyed approve of their current wage and treatment, with 21.7% of them feeling satisfied or very satisfied with current incentive mechanism.
