Ningxia hui autonomous region is a multi-national area in which Hui people reside collectively.The development of economy,culture and education falls behind.Advocating Wushu is a remarkable characteristic in Hui history.As a result of the economy level of development,the living conditions,the tradition customs and the life customs,as well as the restriction of the cultural ideas,the ideology,the dissemination way and so on,the development and popularization of Ningxia university Wushu and sports differs greatly from those developed inland universities.This article bases on Ningxia,carrying on the exhaustive investigation and research to the present teaching situation of university Wushu sport,discovering the problems and difficulties of Wushu sport which exist in Ningxia university Wushu teaching,proposing the correlative suggestions,and providing a fundamental research mentality for Wushu teaching in the national minority areas to make a contribution to the positive and effective popularization and the improvement of university Wushu sport.The following is the conclusion drawn from my essay:1.The theory instruction is weak,and the curriculum structure is unreasonable The teaching target of Ningxia Wushu lessons is unitary,and the teaching documents are insufficient.According to opened courses,8 of the 13 local ordinary universities open Wushu course,the other 5 have not yet opened. The reason for this is that they don't have the conditions to open the course.2.The teaching time of Wushu is insufficient,and it has restricted the students to make their curriculum choices.According to the opened course,the number of lessons is not consistent,and the lesson hours are not enough so students are unable to learn what they want in the optional class3.The teaching form of Wushu is not unified,and the content of practice course is narrow,and the content of teaching appraisal is not comprehensive.At present,the Wushu courses in Ningxia universities are various,and it reflects partial schools are at will to the curriculum establishment,and it also lacks the scientific nature.Meanwhile the content of the present Wushu practice course is short,the scope is narrow,and little importance is attached to the direction of theory classes.Also the content of the teaching appraisal lacks the synthesis appraisal.4.The team of Wushu teachers is weak,and the quality of the teachers need to be improved.5.The trainings of Wushu lack the breadth and depthNingxia university Wushu association,and university Wushu teams have not formed an overall effect,and lacks the breadth and depth of training The university teachers only carry on class Wushu teaching,but they seldum give additional Wushu direction out of class.Moreover,the construction of Wushu playground is insufficiently standard,and the equipment is short.So it affects the teaching effect.6.The lack of the understanding to the Ningxia Hui Wushu items has affected the teaching development in the universities of Ningxia.Presently,only one out of the 13 universities in Ningxia has opened this itemt teaching, According to the analysis of the above,the following are suggestions on how to develop Wushu teaching in the universities in Ningxia:1.To renew ideas,transform thoughts,and further deepen teaching reform of Wushu in universities.2.To increase class teaching hours of Wushu,and standardize the teaching content of theory class.3.To enlarge the construction strength of Wushu teacher troop.4.To strengthen the research of teaching materials,reform the content of Wushu teaching,and adjust curriculum structure.5.To creates a fine environment and utilize various ways to enhance the teaching development of Wushu.
