The Study Of The Serve Skills And Tactics Of The World Class Men's Tennis Player In The Tie-break

Highly developed modern tennis skills make the athletes more comprehensive in different aspects.As for serves,the world class men' s tennis players are outstanding in adding spin to the serves,the angles of serves and the accuracy of the points of fall.In the serve-winning game,the variety of serves skill is extremely important to the final victory.It requires more intensive research and analysis of the statistics.This paper intends to research the statistics of the 203 set-winning games and the serves in these set-winning games by Roger Federer,Rafael Nadal and Andy Roddick through the study of literature and data, mathematical statistics,interviews and investigation,and comparative analytics.The following conclusions are drawn:(1) The rate of success of serving in different court is not necessarily related to the serve-winning rate.The point of fall rate is related to the serve-winning rate to some extent.(2) The rates of success of the first service and the second service are all deceased.The rate of success of the first service in different angles is severely impacted by the qualities and the purposes of the serves.The rate of success of the bodyline ball is much higher than the rate of success of the first service in the inner corner and the outer corner.The rate of success of the second service maintains in a comparative high level and shows no severe difference.(3) Despite the tracks and the purposes of the serves,the winning rate of the first service is higher than the second service.(4) The winning rate of the second service in the inner corner is much higher than other tracks or purposes. (5) First Serve in Tie-break pay attention to goal-oriented choice, Federer and Nadal out of the scoring to the backhand of the total score for each side,out of 54.4 per cent and 44.5 per cent.(6) Roddick serve in the different regional choice out of different service lines.The left and right over their service serving the interior angle of the region's total score each scored 52.4%and 60%.(7) Among the winning serves in the tie-break,36.6%of the scores are gained by the first service combining with the third hit.The scores of the second service are mainly gained in the phase of the deadlock.
