Research On The Status And Countermeasure Of The Wounded Professional Athletes Medical Insurance Of Henan Province

Wounded professional athletes medical insurance takes very important position in the athletes insurance system.To set up reasonable and perfet provincial medical insurance system for wounded professonal athletes has the important significance for the sustainable development of the athletics in our country.The author selects 168 professional athletes from seven sports units under Henan Provincial Sports Bureau,and makes a investigation on the topic of "the status of the wounded professional athletes medical insurance in Henan".On the analysis oftbe result of the investigation,the author put forward six countermeasures regarding social insurance,business insurance and self-administration,also carry out a consultation investigation to 61 athletes and coaches with questionnaire form.This problem researches the status of wounded professional athletes medical insurance in Henan province and give some relevant countermeasures.The research result shows:The wounded athletes has a large amount in Henan,in 2005 the wounded athletes occupied 88.1%of the total athletes.An athlete suffered three times wound reaches 57.7%of the total athletes.There are 13 athletes who have been wounded for more than ten times.As the main athletes' social medical insurance,the expenses from the basic medical insurance on the treatment of the wounded athletes only account for 5.4%of the total treatment expenses.The provincial medical insurance can not play a role on the treatment of professional athletes, in a certain extent it cause financial pressure to the provincial in-charge bureau.Business insurance account for a small proportion,only 3.6%of the total athletes has business insurance,but there are 37.1% of the total athletes In Henan provincial training athletes team;.64.3% of the total athletes are not satisfied with present medical insurance system,only 1.2%feel satisfied,70.2%are dissatisfied with the fee of the medical insurance,so it cause the decline of the rates of athletes attending training..The basic medical insurance restrict the hospitalizing unit,it cause the difficulties for athletes due to the location,procedure and so on;There is much faultiness in medical supervising system and medical measures in each sports team. Countermeasures:According to the particularity of the professional athlete,try to perfect the athletes injured insurance and wounded mutual help system,set up a social medical insurance system to meet the need of the social insurance system and meet the need of athletes.The state and the sports unit must take active measures,supply sufficient outlay resources for business insurance;the sports in-charge unit should cooperate with insurance company,open out new sports insurance; Strengthen scientific training and medical affairs supervision, construct infirmary of sports team well;Pay more attention to the medical insurance of the retired athletes;help resolve the problem of the retired athletes' medical insurance.
