This essay uses the method of qualitative research to study the cultural performance and the dissemination channels of Beijing Olympic Games.Through making semi-structured in-depth interviews on 29 persons who live in Beijing,according to the method of theory analysis of data and technology suggested by Stauss and Corbin,we transferred the record of interview into texts and study them..What we found is as follows: all of the 29 people have participated in Beijing Olympic Games in different ways,and they also supported Beijing Olympic Games.On one hand,they believed that this Olympics could promote the national image of China and what was more,could improve the development of Beijing, could improve the quality of the Beijing citizens,and could also deepen the understanding between China and the world,they also believed that Beijing Olympic Games had a great effect on the enhance of national cohesion and sense of pride.On the other hand,the interviewed also reflected some problems during Beijing Olympics,such as the loss of Beijing's traditional cultures and the negative impact appearing during the process of rapid modernization.The understanding of Olympic culture,all the interviewed people knew something about the basic system of Olympic ideology,and had a better understanding about the connotation of Olympic culture.But as the core of Olympic culture,olympism was seldom mentioned in the interview, instead,what was mentioned more was Olympic spirit.This phenomenon reflects the deviation of our media reports.On cultural expression,this essay mentions about some special culture forms,such as:language,life style,family relations and social organizations etc.On the study of the use of media,during the 2008 Olympics most of the audiences chose TV programs as their basic method of getting information of the Olympics.The main channel was CCTV-5 CCTV-2 and CCTV-1.People who use Internet as their way of getting information,mainly browsed the information on the internet,they seldom took part in the interactive activities.
