Study On The Construction, Operation And Management Strategy Of Large-scale Sport Stadiums And Gymnasiums

After the end of Beijing Olympic Games, the major sport events are getting more and more in China along with the development of our society and sports business. The construction of large-scale sports stadiums and gymnasiums increases also day by day because of the increasing major sports events. However the post - game management of the newly built large-scale sports stadiums and gymnasiums generally also generates more and more problems. Not only the national huge construction investment cannot obtain the corresponding repayment, but also a giant expense still has to be invested continually to guarantee the survival of the sports facilities. The host of the large-scale sports competitions and activities has not only promoted the development of local society and the economy, but also led the construction and progress of local sports facilities. But due to the long time of construction, the big investment, the slow fund recovery, the complicated management in later period, and the high cost of maintenance, these facilities will inevitably appear the spoilage in different degree through the long-term use and unpunctual maintenance, which will surely affect the host of competition events and the launch of mass fit activities. At present, usually a stadium is built only for some competition event. The potential value after the event is often ignored during the plan stage. After the match these large-scale sports stadiums and gymnasiums became a burden, which the local government has to consume many funds every year to restore and to maintain. Therefore we should carry on a very good plan and design before the construction of large-scale sports facility, so that we can carry out a better management control of the large stadiums after the host of events. By this way, the sports facilities can avoid undertaking overweight economical pressure; and also better bring the maximum economic and social efficiency. In order to solve the awkward situation of construction and management of large-scale sports stadium and gymnasium in our country, and improve the comprehensive efficiency of large-scale sports stadiums and gymnasiums. This article, from the perspective of planners and builders, makes a systematic analysis and study on the current status of the construction, operation and management of the large-scale stadiums and gymnasiums by using the methods of literature quotation, expert interviews, on-site inspection and the logic induction, and summarizes the construction, operation and management strategies of China's major sports venues on the basis of analyzing and studying the 10th National Games venues.
