Analysis Of Chinese Team's Technical Level On The 10^th Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships

Aerobic gymnastics is the ability to perform continuous complex and high intensity movement to music, which originate from traditional aerobic exercises. the routine must denmonstrate continuous movement, flexibility, strength and the utilisation of the seven basic steps, with perfectiy executed difficulty elements. With the development of aerobic gymnastics and frequent international contacts, technical level has been improving. From the result of various events achieved on the 10th Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships, China's Groups is in the world lead while there are varying differences between Chinese team and other advanced national sports teams on the events of Idividual men, Idividual women,Mixed Pair and Trio. The difference mainly exists in artistic composition, difficulty elements and execution quality. Therefore, it's an urgent problem as well as a harsh task for Chinese team to further improve its technical level up to world level. It holds a decisive significance to the development of aerobic gymnastics in our country.This research chooses vedio materials of Chinese team's Idividual men, Idividual women,Mixed Pair and Trio and champion teams of all individual event on the 10th Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships just ended in 2008, as research targets, utilizes various research methods such as documentation, graphics, comparative analysis approach and mathe matical statistics method, and combines FIG《Aerobic Gymnastics Draft Code of Points 2005-2008》. From the aspects of artistic composition, difficulty elements and execution quality, the paper thoroughly analyses Chinese team's advantages and disadvantages in aerobic gymnastics and finds out our technical differences in comparison with champion team, thus it can provide some valuable references to improvement of aerobic gymnastics techniques.Research results:1. There is no big difference between Chinese team and champion team in the number of application of transitions and linking, but Chinese team has comparatively less highly difficult transitions and linking.There is no difference between Chinese Mixed pair and champion team's in frequency of formation change, while Chinese Trio group's formation change is obviously less than champion team's , to be precise, 0.18 less every eight time on average. In Trio and Mixed Pair events, Chinese team and champion team has no big difference in layout patterns of the whole set of lift movements and time spent. However, chinese team's lift movements lack innovation.In Trio and Mixed Pair events, Chinese team has less physical contact partership and highly difficult partership in comparison with champion team whose parterships are better in its complexity and variety.Chinese team has achieved world advanced level in aspects of Aerobic movement patterns, diversity of limb movements and change frequency of body direction. But on the whole, Chinese Mixed pair is weaker in diversity of Aerobic movement patterns.2.Chinese team is deficient in field utility and forward and backward movements.; the layout in the lower left corner is less. In applying five types of space conversion, Individual women and Mixed pair gymnasts didn't use B-A-B type and thus affected diversity of the whole set.Through watching vedio, we find Chinese gymnasts have vivid facial expressions when executing their movements and they have eye contacts with each other in Trio and Mixed Pair events. But they have few eye contacts with audience and referees and lack high excitement in accomplishing movements.Chinese team has more Group A movements but the score is low; B-level movements are less and male gymnasts'skills are better than female's; C-level movements are more than winner's; D-level movements are seldom and lack highly difficult ones.The score of difficult movements is mainly in middle zone ranging from 0.5 to 0.7, and highly difficult elements are obviously less than those of champion team. Highly difficult elements in the layout are top-heavy and the score is fairly even. but the distribution of Group is relatively focused.3 The score of the routine is lower than the champion team. The distance between our team and champion team isvery remarkable, especially we are lower 0.36 than the champion team at the artistic score, and lower 0.21 at the completed score. From the view of difficulty, besides the difficulty score in Chinese Individual men is better 0.1 than Spanish Team, all of other items are worse than the champion team. So the difficulty value of Chniese team is lower than the champion team. The average rate of Chinese difficulty elements is 96%, while the champion team is 99%. In all of the items, the complete rate of difficulty elements in Trio is the lowest, 92.05%. From composition of difficulty elements, the distance between our team and Romania team is only 0.05, however, the completed score is lower 0.3, which enlarges the distance. On the other hand, the action is not very accurate, which not only does the value of difficulty elements reduce, but also gets the decreased score at complete and artistic aspects.
