The Study Of The Situation Investigation And Management Countermeasures Of Mass Sports In Beijing

According to the requests of Beijing Mass sports Management Standard, this study aims at the activity, organization and facilities of Beijing mass sports, by applying the method of literature, method of questionnaire, interview, on-the-spot investigation, the mathematical statistic method and so on. The study analyzes the present situation of Beijing mass sports and provides management countermeasures, which contrasts with the investigation data of the year 2000. It also provides reference and suggestion for the establishment of Beijing mass sports management standard, and develops theory and practice of Beijing mass sports management. The main conclusions of the study are as follows:1. Beijing government deepens the system reform and depends on the social forces in the sports management. With government and society working together, it sets up mass sports management system that meets the socialist market economy.2. The gross sport population in Beijing is increasing steadily, but its integral development structure is unbalanced as follows:aging and the obvious degeneration of the physical professional sports population. The government should promote the gross sports population to increase steadily and regulate its structure. Meanwhile, it should develop more sports activities to attract people from sixteen to fifty-five years old to take part in sport activities.3. The organizational level of mass sports in Beijing is very high, with its carriers of morning and evening exercise spots, sports organizations and the sports clubs. The government should support them and promote them to develop sports activities as their characteristics.4. The shortage of location and unbalanced distribution are still bottleneck of the development of Beijing mass sports. The government should increase input, develop financial channels, adopt preferential policy, guide the social forces to join in the construction of the stadium to promote the frequency of usage and prolong the open time.5. The fitness consumer market in Beijing takes into shape, although it needs more supervision. The study therefore suggests that sports bureau, planning bureau, civil administration and bureau of commerce and industry to manage the association registration and management relationship to consummate the supervision system and forces under the guidance of city government.6. The unique economic and policy advantage is the basis of the development of mass sports in Beijing. And Beijing Olympic Games will have positive influence on mass sports in Beijing.
