A Study On The Situation Of Number Of Children And Sterilization Age Among Rural Reproductive Age And Married Women In Different Regions Of Shanxi Province During 2002-2007

Objective: To analysis countryside married sterilization woman of Shanxi Province and discuse the measure of contraception and birth control. It's to provide evidences for formulating more practical and feasible of contraception and birth control policies.Methods:During October 1st,2002 to September 30,2007,the state of implementation on sterilization surgery was carried out by a questionnaire survey among rural reproductive age and married women in entire province domestic 119 counties (city, area),then the date was analyzed by SPSS 17.0. The respondents total in every town or city is not less than 100. Supervising by a professional on the spot, to investigate their normal information, the numbers of ht children, the sex of the children, the generated ages, the sterilized ages and so on; Analyze ht relationship of the concentration degree of the married and generated women, the relationship of the number of the children and sterilization, and that of the generation sex and the sterilization; the differences between the numbers of the married and sterilized women who have children and the sterilized ages in the excellent towns and the normal ones and the differences between the numbers of the married and sterilized women who have children and the sterilized ages in first cities and second ones by chi-square test and variance analysis.Results:1.The proportion of the married and sterilized women who have two children from 11 cities is the highest in the number of having children, the average proportion achieves 85.07%. But it has arisen multiple births, and the number of children that one is a boy, the other is a girl is existence, the proportion achieves 14%.2. The different city, the different category county area married sterilization woman gives birth the children to count the existence remarkable difference; The married sterilization woman gives birth two child's proportions, a kind of city is higher than two kind of cities, the country superior unit, the province superior unit, the general county area assumes reduces the tendency gradually; The married sterilization woman gives birth the multi-child's proportion, a kind of city is lower than two kind of cities, the country is superior, the province superior unit, the general county area assume increase the tendency gradually.3. The married sterilization woman of Shanxi province gives birth a boy and the girl, in the respective sex gives birth the children to count the proportion which in the comparison occupies most to be high (respectively is 63.5%,62.8%).it explains that the children sex constitution in two child sterilization family takes a boy and a girl as the main form; As birth increasing which along with the family the children count, the overall birth population sex ratio tends to be normal gradually, even appears decreases the tendency.4. The sterilization surgery's age of the married and sterilized women in Shanxi Province is focused on between 25 and 35. The different city, the different category county area married woman of child-bearing age sterilization age existence remarkable difference. Between at the age of under 25 and at the age of above 40,that is obviously lower in the second city than the first city, and larger in normal towns than the excellent ones in the provinces and the country.Conclusion To carry out the birth control measure of persistent effect, especially the sterilization measure, is very important to control the quickly growth of population and the stable of low birth level.; But in different area, it is still prominent because of taking the degree,carrying out in dynamics deviation and developing the unbalanced question. Therefor, it need to knew again omni-directionally for the population birth control work, especially the control measure of birth persistent effect, in Carring on the bold innovation to the supervisory service pattern and advancing the birth control high-quality service earnestly. the new mentality of humanist is important to command the birth control measure of persistent effect and develope the informed consent right of the contraceptive method and improve the management level and the grade of service comprehensively in order to achieve the population birth control job.
