Discovery method is better than the traditional teacher-based classroom teaching. Entering the twenty-first century, China began to implement the curriculum reform of basic education. Discovery method is being paid attention to for its unique approach again. And the majority of teachers have been, consciously or unconsciously applied to the classroom teaching.The arts subjects in high school mathematics learning and thinking characteristics of the psychological characteristics of the basis of the analysis is based on teaching practice to a focus of City High School two liberal arts students as test object, through classroom observation, interviews, testing, etc. Empirical research methods found in the liberal arts in high school mathematics teaching practice, the significance of the discovery method of teaching model of mathematics teaching in the humanities to explore the practice and to propose an effective teaching strategies. Through the research the following conclusions: discovery method of teaching liberal arts students are able to mobilize the participation of emotions, to stimulate students interest in learning, and enhance the spirit of curiosity and get to the bottom, raise the confidence of learning and discovery; discovery method of teaching arts subjects can access subjects The basic structure, and enable students to have knowledge of the impressive, easy to remember and recall the knowledge learned "relocation" to new situations; discovery method of teaching contribute to the development of the arts subjects of observation, reasoning ability , intuitive thinking ability; discovery method of teaching to enhance the independence of the arts subjects, reducing the reliance on textbooks and teachers, in favor of the application and solve the problem.In the end I conclude the application of the theory and the suggestions that we should use Discovery method.
