with the development of economic globalization,multi-polarization of world politics and International integration, the education internationalization has become an unavoidable trend, the aim of which is to foster high quality talents who is facilitated with global vision,aware of international rules,good at international communication and competition. The future talents must understand the idea of "living together ",care for the common issues the world will face.accept the multi-culture with the attitude of tolerance and respect. at the same time,they must know how to inherit and promote the national traditional culture to the world in a proper way. All these expectation must rely on the implementation of "the education for international understanding " from primary and secondary schools periodthe author tries to explain the concepts,core values and background and analyze the relation between "international education "and "the education for international understanding ".The present situation and challenges of "the education for international understanding "in the world and China will be introduced.The analasis of status quo and the limitations of "the education for international understanding "will be focused in the primary and secondary school in Suzhou Industrial Park.Also the strategy and tactic will be described to push the development of "the education for international understanding "in this area.
