A new revolution took place with the flourishing development of modern information technology. The traditional teaching mode impacted by information technology faces new opportunities and challenges. Inquiry teaching has drawn attention to large numbers of educators, which has following characteristics: simulating the inquiry process and method of the scientific research for the scientists, emphasizing the initiative and autonomy of students, and paying attention to training the practical ability and scientific thinking method. Training the creative spirit and creative ability of the students is taken as educational idea for inquiry teaching. The education innovation thoughts are set up during the teaching activities. The pondering of students is inspired by problems. The new content, the new concept and the new conclusion is educed by means of inquiring a series of problems. Inquiry teaching cultures the ability of students with posing problems, querying problems and interpreting problems, which arouses their creative awareness and enhances their innovation thinking ability.The author researched the Exploring teaching in theory with practice in information technology course. The whole dissertation was divided into two parts. The first half was theory research. In this part, the author introduced some research development on Exploring teaching both in China and foreign countries. Then the theories on Exploring teaching and cultivation of student's innovative ability were summarized, including Cognitive theory and constructivist theory. Then the author put forward some teaching tactical of cultivating student's innovative ability in Information Technology course, including the creation of context, asking questions, conjecture and assumptions, collecting information, verifying the hypothesis, exchanging summary evaluation and application of innovation.In the practice part, as a junior schoolteacher for many years, the author had rich teaching experience and good condition to do practice research. In order to verify the author's specific training programs, the author conducted a experimental control. On the use of two classes, the author conducted a one-year controlled study. In order to get more persuasion, the author quantified scientific data, namely EQ test tools and creativity test tools. By data of the two control classes before and after, the effects of program evaluation, practice results proved that the classes with training programs won the non-implementation, both in the quantitative test data. It presented by the author to verify effectiveness of training programs. Besides, the author also combined two specific cases in Information Technology course as empirical study, and made students and their parents to evaluate.Through theory and practice research in this paper, the author believed that the proposed model of innovation ability was better than traditional teaching mode. And it would help students to improve their self-learning, inquiring learning, collaborative learning conclusions, thusly, their innovative ability were nurtured.
