The Study Of Entrepreneurial Attitudes, Preparatory Acts Of University Students And Relevant Factors In Kunming

College students have started an undertaking early in the western countries. The important thinking that university in China should pay attention to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of students was established in 1999. However, the number of college students who start an undertaking is less and few of them is successful. In addition, entrepreneurship education has not implemented widely in Chinese universities. Although university students have burning desire to it, they are out of their minds and full of doubts. Therefore, this article bases on the economic situation of southwestern area in China and takes 295 college students as sample in Kunming to investigate the entrepreneurial attitudes and preparatory acts of local students. Finally, the author analyzes and discusses how to encourage the college students to start an undertaking and develop the entrepreneurial guiding in universities.In this paper, the author uses questionnaire and interview to investigate the entrepreneurial attitudes, behavior and related factors of three university students in Kunming. The results are following as:First, college students in Kunming have clear understanding about theoretical and practical significance of starting an undertaking. They think that students should consider starting an undertaking. It can help them come quickly into the society and know the society. They have stronger sense of doing business. But they doubt or deny their own entrepreneurial qualities and conditions. Most of them agree on the saying "first work to start". They are not familiar to the local business environment, economic conditions and difficulty. They also don't know whether the family members support them or not. But their entrepreneurial motivation and purpose are clear. They have many practical needs for starting an undertaking.Second, the entrepreneurial preparatory acts of college students in Kunming are passive and they have not even the behavior of entrepreneurial intentions according to the survey results of study behavior and participation situation. Very few students are studying business knowledge and most students have not participated in Business Plan Competition organized by the school. They have no experience of business trainee and even don't participate in business seminars. Obviously, college students just think of starting an undertaking. Their entrepreneurial attitudes are not consistent with acts.Third, the publicity channel of entrepreneurial policy in Kunming is very narrow. The policy doesn't stretch deeply into the university. College students in Kunming don't fully regard the entrepreneurship guidance of university as positive. They believe those lacks of finance and social relations are the main factors constraining business.The author summed up the conclusion from the survey results: The university students in Kunming take a correct attitude towards starting an undertaking. However, the entrepreneurial atmosphere is not strong and entrepreneurial preparatory acts are worse. "Thinking" and "doing" exist between a wide gap, which is the main reason of that the rate of starting an undertaking is lower in Kunming.
