Singapore, the Southeast Asian city-state of the garden, has emerged as the one of Asia's "Four Little Dragons"since 1965 after its independence. It was known as one of the most behavior cities, not only because of its relatively richer material life, but also its people's high moral quality was known in the world. Singapore's high moral quality is closely connected with its successful citizen moral education. And we have similar cultural roots with Singapore. On the one hand, the two countries all belong to the Confucian cultural circle; on the other hand, in the process of modernization, the two countries have experienced the problem that how to deal with cultural conflicts. It makes our study and learns on the civic and moral education of Singapore's schools necessity and feasibility. In this sense, I make analysis on development history and current situation of Singapore's elementary moral education on a certain degree and to sum up some useful experiences to our civic and moral education and providing some enlightenment.The thesis is mainly made up of four parts.The first part is related to the definition of the civic moral education and related concepts. It is mainly discusses three pairs of categories: morality and civic virtue; civil education and civil moral education; civic moral education and civic and moral education in schools.The second part is related to the analysis the development process of Singapore's civic moral education in primary and secondary schools. At the beginning of the thesis, it gives a brief on the historical and cultural background of Singapore,and then, elaborates the course of development of their civic and moral education in primary and secondary school in three facts since the founding of Singapore.The third part is related to the analysis of current Singapore's civic and moral education in primary and secondary the status quo. Through the analysis of Singapore's moral values and the objectives, contents and implementation of the process of their civic moral education in primary and secondary to express its characteristics.The fourth part is related to the reflections of Singapore's civic moral education in primary and secondary. This section aims to make a cursory summary of the characteristics of civic and moral education in primary and secondary schools in Singapore. And on this basis, some suggestions were proposed intended to strengthen and improve our civic and moral education in primary and secondary.
