A Design And Implementation Of The Digital Voice Exchange System

We firstly introduce the technology and background of Internet Telephone. Secondly we analyze the communication requirement of mini-scaled corporations and show the importance for building up telephone communication system for them. Thirdly, we design an extension telephone system. The system utilizes existing computers and network equipment in the intranet to realize the real-time voice communication. We build a phone gateway to connect the PSTN and intranet and add telephone function to every multimedia computers. In this thesis there is detail description for the technologies and ways to implement the system. At last we give a perspective for the development of the system in the near future.The telephone communication system designed in this thesis may well satisfy the communication requirement of mini-scaled corporations. Not only does it benefit these corporations for its lower cost of building and maintain than that of the ordinary telephone system but also its flexibility make us easily to extend its functional components and add new services on it.
