Application Of Redevelopment Based-on AutoCAD In The Modeling Of Information Transmission For Construction Project Designing

A general information transmission model is built up for the construction engineeringdesign in the dissertation. By using software to accomplish the input of information and toconstruct practical examples for the model, the application of the model becomes easierand more convenient to a large extent.The research goes through three main processes. Information characteristics ofconstruction engineering are first extracted and specified, then the developmentenvironment is defined, and finally the application software is formulated.After reviewing the application of the information techniques in some industries likeconstruction, agriculture and so on, combining the current development situation in ourcountry, the great urgency and importance of the information technique's application inconstruction engineering design at the present time are firstly analyzed. To follow, on thebase of analysis of the characteristics of the information transmission during constructionengineering design, the main characters and attributes of the information transmission areidentified and specified. Then, the IDEF0 model is selected as the foundation to build upthe information transmission model. In addition, with the consideration of the features ofthe IDEF0 model and the application of the relevant software, as well as the designers'familiarity, the software AutoCAD is chosen as the redevelopment platform.The whole software modeling process consists of the following steps: firstly, byAutoLisp and AutoCAD VBA, graphical information data are extracted and processed andmatched based on the space coordinates so that an information database is formed;secondly, in the environment of the information database the functions required byconstruction engineering design such as the extraction, search and modification ofinformation are accomplished; thirdly, by the AutoCAD VBA's programming functions,the original drawing of IDEF0 figures, extracting and processing of information areintegrated into the AUTOCAD environment. After the integration, an application softwarefor information transmission of construction engineering design is built up finally.The research output would be quite meaningful in practice. To begin with, by learningfrom the examples constructed by software, the designers and the managers who areapplying it get to grasp the methods of the input and the output of the information; then,through applying the software, a convenient and flexible real-time adjustment for designproject and tasks will come true; especially, the software can contribute much to thesolution to the intersection and collaboration among the various types of constructionwork.
