The thesis is to collect and research the prevention and treatment of Yunnan spring dryness. The main research content is to collect, mine and tidy Bai ethnic medicine books, to have field trip to Bai ethnic settlements, and to summarize the medical thoughts, the therapies and experience of prevention and treatment of Yunnan spring dryness.Objective: the research takes the full advantage of strength and characteristics of ethnic medicine, summarizes the therapies and experience of prevention and treatment of Yunnan spring dryness in order to strengthen the consciousness of health care and provide evidence for prevention and treatment of spring dryness syndromes, promotes the systematic research of prevention and treatment of spring dryness syndromes, and lays the foundation for the systematic research of Yunnan dryness.Methods and content: based on the collecting, mining, and tidying the Bai ethnic medicine books, the research focuses on the field investigation of Bai ethnic settlements in the northwest of Yunnan, to sum the methods of diet, exercise, external treatment, and medicine and formulas. Healthy diet: edible fresh flowers, wild vegetables, wild mushrooms, common vegetables and fruits, monthly porridge, the three-course tea, butter tea and blood sausage have beneficial effect on prevention and treatment of the spring dryness. Healthy exercises: horse racing and dancing are suitable for the spring season to raise Yang-qi and treat the seasonal diseases. Folk characteristic for external treatment: rolling-egg, hot spring, scraping, steaming, nasal therapy, umbilical therapy, and moxibustion have certain effect on spring diseases.Commonly used formulas for food therapy : to collect and mine 85 proved formulas,64 food therapies, 47 commonly used herbal plants. And to conclude the characteristics of medicine and formulas and of spring dryness related syndromes, and the principles for preventing and treating the spring dryness.Conclusion:(1) The characteristics of medicine and formulas: with ethnic features, combining food into medicine and being good at using edible herbs, uniquetreatment methods.(2) Frequently-occurring spring dryness related disease: internal diseases, skin diseases, ophthalmological and otorhinolaryngological diseases; main syndromes are syndrome of dryness and wind invading lung, syndrome of skin dryness, syndrome of liver effected lung dryness.(3) Prevention and treatment principles:corresponding between man and universe, conforming to seasons;differentiating syndromes with different treatment, abiding by triple pathogens; prevention first, comprehensive aftercare.
