Purpose:Study of the curative effect of acupuncture combined with granisetron for prevention and treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing gynecological laparoscopic surgery. Material and method:Choose 60 patients underwent gynecological laparoscopic surgery under I~â…¡elective general anesthesia performed by American Society of anesthesiologists(ASA), and randomly divided them into contrast group(group A), granisetron group(group B), acupuncture combined with granisetron group(group C), each group contains 20 patients. The three groups were all used static suction combined with general anesthesia, and all patients underwent intravenous self-controlled analgesia(PCIA) after the surgery. The granisetron group performed intravenous injection of 3mg granisetron hydrochloride injection at 30 minutes before the end of the operation; the acupuncture combined with granisetron group performed acupuncture on Neiguan, Zusanli and Sanyinjiao at 1 hour before the operation, partially use conventional 75% medical alcohol for disinfection, use 1.5 inches of sterile needle for piercing needle and acupuncture was retained for 20 minutes after the arrival of Qi, twirling lifting and thrusting needle by every 5 minutes during this period, and pull out the needle after 20 minutes, intravenous injection of 3mg granisetron hydrochloride injection was performed at 30 minutes before the end of the operation; Contrast group used blank control, the incidence and degree of nausea and vomiting were followed up in each period of time after the operation: within 2h(T1), 2~6h(T2), 6~12h(T3), 12~24h(T4), 24~48h(T5). Results:There was no statistical significance for the differences between the three groups in the general information of the patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery(P is more than 0.05). The incidence of nausea in acupuncture combined with granisetron group was 5%, 15%, 10%, 10%, 0 in postoperative period of T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5 respectively. The incidence of nausea in contrast group was 10%, 25%, 25%, 20%, 5% in postoperative period of T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5 respectively. The granisetron group(group B) and the acupuncture combined with granisetron group(group C) both have lower incidence of nausea than the contrast group(P is less than 0.05); There were no newly added nausea patient in the acupuncture combined with granisetron group at 24h-48 h after the operation, but in the contrast group there were 5 newly added nausea patients. onecases in group C at 48 h after the operation, but there were 3 cases in group B and 8 cases in the contrast group, there was statistical significance for the differences between group C and group A(P is less than 0.05). The acupuncture combined with granisetron group has lower incidence degree of PONV than the contrast group at 48 h after the operation. Conclusion:The incidence rate of PONV within 24 h after the operation can besignificantly reduced by using acupuncture combined with granisetron for the patients of a variety of risk factors underwent gynecologic laparoscopic surgery.
