Swertia mussotii Franch as a Tebitan traditional medicine has become a current research hot spot because of its unique effect in the treatment of liver diseases The research proves that it has protect liver,diminished inflammation,been antiviral,protect the nervous system,regulated blood sugar level and so on;Cholecystitis is one of the common bile diseases,Acute Cholecystitis and Chronic two kinds,Acute Cholecystitis is closely related to silt up biliary and bacterial infection.The main bacteria are E.coli(60%~70%),Klebsiella bacteria and anaerobic bacteria(e.g.,pseudomonas aeroginosa).In order to find the suppression by the column chromatography, thin layer chromatography and recrystallization method of chloroform from Swertia mussotii Franch leaves separated 3 components through the identification of NMR technology:β-sitosterol( 1),1,8-dihydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyanthone( 2),1-hydroxy-2,3,5,7-tetramethoxyanthon(3);From N-butyl extractive separated 7 components:1-hydroxy-3,5,8-trimethoxyanthone(4),1-1-hydroxy-2,3,4,5-tetramethoxyanthone( 5), 1-hydroxy-3,7,8-trimethoxyanthone( 6), Homoorietin( 7),Mangiferin( 8), Gentiopicroside( 9), Swertiamarin( 10).The antibacterial experiment shows: compound 1, compound 2, compound4, compound 5, compound 6, compound 8 has obvious antibacterial activity;compound 3, compound 7, compound 9 and compound 10 antibacterial activity is not obvious or no antibacterial effect. We find two compounds who can obvious antibacterial activity compound 2 and compound 6.In particular Compound 6 whose bacteriostatic rate is above 20% for five kinds of bacteria has obvious antibacterial activity,the bacteriostatic rate against E.coli and pseudomonas aeroginosa are 65.9%and 55.9%.
