A Study On Cloisonne Decoration In Ming And Qing Dynasties

Cloisonne also named Cloisonne enamel, is the wisdom crystallization Of ancient Chinese people. Cloisonne Mainly developed in Ming dynasty and reach its peak in Qing dynasty, when intelligent craftsman gathered at the capital Beijing and enhanced the boom of handcrafts manufacture.As mainly used in palace in its early days, Cloisonne gained its distinguishing feature.Cloisonne decorative patterns are an important part of traditional Chinese art. its artistic characteristics, its Rich connotation and thoughtful design concept makes great influence in the history of art.This article takes the Cloisonne decorative patterns as the main object of study and uses Literature analysis、image study. Typology method on Ming and Qing Cloisonne collection and modern Cloisonne productions, to see the succession and development in Cloisonne decorative patterns. First this article introduced the history and Production process. then systematically Collated and summarized different types in ming and qing Cloisonne decorative patterns, and then researched its form of composition and summarized the characteristic and structure of the decorative patterns at that time. Then compared the different features and Aesthetic characteristics in the decorative patterns in the two dynasty and made clear the Inheritance and variation in the pattern design art and make a system database on the Aesthetic characteristics on Cloisonne decorative patterns in Ming and Qing dynasty. The last part of this article probes on the necessity of inheritance of the tradition and innovation in design concept、idiosyncrasy、art style in modern Cloisonne decorative patterns design for its continuous development.The National characteristic of art does not vanish in the modernization and globalization world and every kind of art form is nourished and enlighten by its national culture.Now, some artists and designers has voluntarily turned to traditional art to draw its nutrition, combine tradition and modern together and greatly expand the design potential.
