As "the mirror of human existence", documentary is the image expression ofhuman culture and thought. Therefore, documentary has an irreplaceable role inIntercultural Communication. However, for a long time, the effect of interculturalcommunication of Chinese documentary is not ideal.First of all, this article has sorted out the history, development and currentsituation of Chinese documentary cross-cultural dissemination. Analyzes the reasonfor Intercultural Communication difficulties of Chinese documentary. So I chose "ABite of China" as a specific case, which caused a tremendous impact in the country,and won the high praise in foreign country. And my paper intend to from theperspective of Intercultural Communication for the point to the view to analyze thedistinguishing feature in content, creation and transmission of "A Bite of China". Andthough those view points, I think the "A Bite of China" got high achievements in theprocess of cross-cultural common cause the international presentation, theLocalization of content rendering and special Ingenious creation. Finally, I alsoanalyzed the changes of the new period that the Intercultural Communication have tofaced at present.Of course, I also intend to from the topics, content, expression, production anddissemination of the documentary to search the strategies of Chinese documentaryintercultural communication. And the reason for all of this cause I want to dosomething so as to provide some deliberation or reference for improving the ability ofChinese documentary intercultural communication.
