Language contact is an important factor of language evolution, especially in thetwo languages transition zone, weak language is always affected by a strong language,its pronunciation is more presents a kind of transitional. As an example of xinyang,this paper mainly from the perspective of evolution of entering tones, finally it isconcluded that voice in xinyang region by the transitional stage of jianghuai dialect toMiddle Mandarin..In this paper, with the help of the speech materials, complished by Ye Zugui(2010) and GongGuiXun (2011), through the mathods of analysis and comparison,synchronic and diachronic, and timely use the "Chinese dialect geographyinformation system" which design and research by Shanghai normal universityanalyze the entering tones of Xinyang to a certain extent. In this article, with xinyangarea as the core, analyse the entering tones, consonants and the entering finals,concluded that xinyang area retained more phonetic characteristics of jianghuaidialect since modern times. It belongs to the south of mandarin, have obviousdifferences with the Middle Mandarin which once at the core of the northernmandarin. However, there is no denying that the voice of Xinyang area is st ronglyaffected by the Middle Mandarin. The structure of entering tone evolute to thepattern of Middle Manadarin which was segmented.According to the material of Ye Zugui(2010), in xinyang region, we separate twosouth and north tow parts. Located in the southern district of xinyang city, shihe,roshan, guangshan, xinxian and Wu He area more retained the phoneticcharacteristics of modern jianghuai mandarin; And xixian of north area, HuaiBin,HuangChuan, GuShi, ShangCheng under the influence of Middle Mandarin relativelyobvious. The underlying characteristics of jianghuai dialect close to disappear.
