| Social morality is the code of conduct that should be followed by all citizens in social andpublic life, which covers from person to person, man and society, the relationship between manand nature. On the level of human relations, social morality mainly embodied in friendly andhelpful; On the level of human and social relations, social morality mainly embodied in takinggood care of public properties, law-abiding; On the level of human and nature, mainly embodied inrespecting nature, being friendly to the environment.Currently, there exists some problems on the social morality in our country in general, theperformance mainly consists of: the lack of civility in the social intercourse and people don’t helpeach other; the destroy of public objects and the violation of public order; being unfriendly to thenature.The phenomenon has its profound historical roots. The feudal autocratic political system, thestructure of the small-scale peasant economy, family system and the feudal traditional culture allhave a negative influence on the development of social morality. And some political activity sincethe establishment of new China, especially the great leap forward and cultural revolution causedenormous damage to social morality. Moreover, the planned economy and market economy has acertain influence on social morality. Our country have already realized the importance of theconstruction of social morality, and took some measures to it, but there are still some problems.For instance, the content,the form, the method of the social morality education is not perfectly,social morality behavior of external supervision does not reach the designated position, etc.Based on the analysis above, we can strengthen the construction of social morality throughthese ways: improving the social morality education system, optimizing the environment of socialmorality, encouraging the mass to supervise the behavior of social morality, strengtheningpersonal moral cultivation. |
