Research On Tian Xiaobao 's Teaching Of Chorus

Professor Tian Xiaobao is a Master’s tutor of Choral conducting professional inthe Academy of music in Central China Normal University. The Tiankong Choirguided by him won awards repeatedly. Tiankong chorus is a Girls Choir thatrepresents the highest level of the unaccompanied chorus in China. Professor Tian’steaching ideas are very originality and his teaching style is very strict and cautious.He guides a good choir with unique teaching idea. Professor Tian proposed the"Western paradigm" has been focused by many people. And the author has producedresearch on "Chinese paradigm" after long time study on "Western paradigm". Withthe development of increasingly prosperous chorus, we are now in the development ofWestern chorus. Also we are continuing to study and explore the road of thedevelopment of Chinese chorus. We also hope that the national chorus can have theirown style, when we are studying our ethnic music which belonging to our "Chineseparadigm". The author also has done a lot of deep research on the chorus teaching andrehearsal methods. Doing researching on the chorus from the sound and emotion, sothat the chorus can develop better for the exploration and contribution of theinnovation and improvement on the "Chinese paradigm " and "national chorus".This paper is divided into three parts:First chapter: It is a brief description of Professor Tian Xiaobao’s personalexperience, the background and great achievement of Tiankong chorus. And there areExploration and analyze of the special influence on Chinese chorus.Second chapter: It has an exploration of the aesthetic ideas of Western chorus,an exploration of the harmonious and a research on the diversified choral style.Third chapter: It has a discussion on The Tian Xiaobao’s chorus teachingconcept, an explanation of the basic training and the chorus teaching method.The second chapter is the key part of the article. From the professor TianXiaobao’s "western style" concept, the author extended out the "Chinese paradigm".In our study of Western chorus system, the Chinese existing chorus was summarizedat the same time. We obtain a set of scientific and diversified chorus. This paradigm isbased on the Chinese nation, folk adaptation and creation as well as Chinese writingstyle, which has a significant Chinese characteristics. At the same time, because ofthese unique works, we have to study the details of chorus, singing technique,rehearsal method to make the new system. In the modern development of the chorus,the works generated a lot of new style, which have a rich diversity of chorus works. In this situation, we have to reform and explore our original chorus teaching and chorusrehearsal method to adapt to the new works. The author constantly breakthroughhimself in the process of chorus teaching method researched by Professor Tian toobtain more new teaching ideas and try more methods.
