An Interpretation Of The Survival State Of Characters In Yu Hua 's Novel Brothers

Brother,was writen by YuHua and published in2005.And in the past ten years,he never published one novel.However,once brother was published,it triggered a huge controversy from domestic and overseas. Some critics claimed that the theme of this novel is too more vulgar,and its a big regress in his creation. But I also believe that Yuhua is a writer that has great consciousness of social responsibility. Beyond its carnivalistic narrative,we saw the writer owns a clear understanding of our social. Just like he always pay attention to the theme of people’s survival state. But we find that, in Brother,the theme of people’s survival state has’t become a systematic research. So I believed that my topic has its value.There are three parts in this article,besides introduction and conclusion. The first part analysis the three kind of people’survival state. They are:living in suffering、losing in desire、recovering by emotion. And the second part,Ⅰ explored the Absurdity and truthfulness as the feature of its narrtive.In the third part,Ⅰ analysised the strength narrative method and carnivalistic narrative method. In the end,I made a commentary on the whole story, and commented his lastest novel The Seventh Day, and finding tracks of his recently creation. Then I wish YuHua could keep on trying,and take out a real classic novel that face to our reality.
