Textbook plays a crucial role in every stage of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. It is as a tie between the teachers and the students, and a touchstone in order to test teaching result of teachers and master degree of students. And the examples are indispensable parts of the textbook, because of they provide a strong demonstration effects about the ability of students in explanation and interpretation of the language points and wording or phrasing of a paragraph. Good examples can improve the capacity of students on understanding and mastery of language points and stimulate the enthusiasm of students on Chinese learning. Thus, it can improve the Chinese communicative competence of students.However, notes are simply attached to the Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language textbooks. Moreover, the quality of notes, and the writing principle and rule of notes have not been paid much attention by TCFL circles.And the examples researches in foreign Chinese teaching only are attached to the foreign Chinese textbook to demonstrate simply. Considering this condition, this thesis based on lots of grammars and vocabularies’examples of two sets of teaching materials named Development Chinese and Boya Chinese, and regarded them as research objects of study, from writing forms and writing contents of examples to study and analysis, hoping that these can provide writing reference for examples of elementary Chinese comprehensive course.In the analysis of the two books, I found that the two both have high ratios in the explanation of language points from the perspective of written form, and the examples of explanation give priority to sentence types, and the representations of examples are diversity. But the principles of compiling teaching materials and the writing purposes are different. As a result, the two books have the different amount of examples. From the angle of writing contents, the examples abide by the grammar rules of Standard Chinese, and they emphasis on the accurate expression or description of objective things and phenomena, and consider the emotion expression in active, positive, healthy and upward ways as the first. And give the priority to the language in the process of teaching grammar, semantic and pragmatic levels are the inherent demand for examples demonstration effect. However, there are problems in the compiling of examples, such as the absence of vocabularies in Boya Chinese, or some examples have the negative implied examples, or illustrations of semantic background information lack of universality or is invisible, or the illustrations are not in accordance to the examples, or just a deficiency of context and so on.Based on the analysis of the two books, I summarized that Elementary Chinese Comprehensive Course should follow the principles, for example, scientific, normative, typical and practical. Scientific and normative, as the primary principles of illustrations, is the foundation and precondition of the typical and practical. The typical character from the important points of language points aims at highlighting the contents of semantic, grammar, and pragmatic levels. The ways to achieve the principle of typical contains the following:by arranging the illustration sets in a reasonable way, and by all kinds of expression, and by representative of sentence types, and by promoting, filling, increasing emphasis, adding semantic information, or choosing the best context. Practical principles embodied in the interpretation of case writing, both from case formally consider and reflect from the content, is a starting point and the foothold, try to be close to the student life, let the students to practice.
