A Comparative Study Of Chinese And Japanese Dress Culture

Basic needs’ first word is clothes, so we can see the importance of clothes for humans. China has five thousand years of history and culture, since China entered the era of civilization, China produces a distinctive costumes, and different dynasties have different characteristics clothing culture. China is known as the ancient ceremonies, China beautifully ornate costumes also won the praise of the world. Costumes accompanied by a unique art form into everyone’s daily life. China’s cultural influence on neighboring countries is obvious, in particular, China’s neighbor Japan has a deep impact, so from the ancient Japanese literature, art, politics, customs, clothing and even so, have a certain relationship with China, are directly or indirectly affected by Chinese traditional culture. This paper compares the two countries to China and Japan, traditional costumes, differences of Chinese traditional costumes and traditional Japanese costumes, meanwhile the traditional culture of China and Japan comparative study.The thesis is divided into five parts, each part of the main work is as follows:The first part describes the origins of costumes, stage costumes as well as the origin of the main theories to explain the significance of the topic, the research background.The second part describes the main features of culture, and the development of Chinese traditional costumes of Chinese traditional costumes, mainly Han Chinese clothing as an example to explain the Chinese traditional costumes.The third part focuses on the development of traditional Japanese costumes and culture, as well as the characteristics of the formation of a kimono Japanese traditional clothing.The fourth part compare the Han Chinese and the Japanese kimono dress, dress for the Sino-Japanese cultural comparative analysis of differences between Chinese traditional costumes and traditional Japanese clothing.The fifth part of this paper summarizes the main points and shortcomings, and make future research prospects.
