Snow landscape painting is the special topics of the four season landscape painting inancient Chinese landscape painting, because it creates lonely and cold of the artistic conceptionwith rich connotations and unique aesthetic implication, has long been admired by all previousdynasties literati painters. This article attempts through to all previous dynasties traditional snowlandscape painting and the interpretation of related art research condition, combining theoryrelated to the theme of art in ancient writings, from the times background, pen and ink language,style and aesthetic connotation, and many other factors on the snow landscape review andsummarize the situation of the evolution and development. Hope that through the study of thespecial painting subjects will make people get more attention and deeper understanding of thesnow landscape painting, understand the inherent logic of snow landscape paintings in ancientChina, and the rules to form clear understanding of the development, also hopes the research canprovide inspiration to the creation of the snow landscape painting today. The main points of thepaper as follows:First of all, the thesis study of snow landscape position in the history of Chinese landscapepainting and its aesthetic connotation: emphasize the research value of snow landscape painting,to clarify the origin of the snow landscape painting, and then read Gu kaizhi, Zhang cengyao andWangwei among these three early important painters in the snow landscape history, list theirimportant work, discuss the important value of development characteristics and the erabackground of early snow landscape painting to future generations. Secondly, the thesisexpounds the snow landscape painting: the clear context development of the historical evolutionof the snow landscape formed in the course of the history of landscape painting, present adifferent style and personality era in orderly succession. Through to the different historical stages,analysis different painting style and representative painter cases, sums up the influential paintingstyle and schema language, to analyze its inner link and the impact of contemporary for modernsnow landscape painting. Third, find the main factors affecting the development of snowlandscape: the article mainly from the geographical environment factors, social history andculture of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism three aspects carries on the analysis, illustrates apicture of a snow landscape painting have not only affected by one factor, it is formed by manyfactors, formed by the combined impact of these factors are short of one cannot, will form amutual fusion production with vitality and influence. Fourth, this thesis discusses theperformance of the traditional snow landscape painting techniques: first, the performance of theschema language, it is an important part of the snow landscape painting; Secondly, pen and inklanguage, we can put the pen and ink in Chinese painting as a form of accomplishment or state, is the only way to passed for an artist to draw; The third method is the expression of artisticconception, artistic conception expression is the spirit and soul of snow landscape, it is the idealand goal that many Chinese artists spend their lifetime to pursuit for.The last part of the thesis summarizes the status quo and the main representative of modernsnow landscape painter, points out that the current era is an era of diversified development, snowlandscape painting is facing new situation of diversification development. It is important changein the20th century of Chinese painting, the Chinese landscape painting language also in constantinnovation and reform. Looking for new Chinese landscape painting language, is the snowlandscape from traditional to modern transformation development important content. Snowshould be based on the development of landscape painting can neither abandon the traditionalpainting techniques, inherit the ancients outstanding traditional skill of pen and ink, and shouldpay attention to the nature, constantly looking for new forms, found more new directions in thefuture development of snow landscape painting.
