| Attention is known as the window to the soul, which plays an important role in the process of exploring and changing the world. Activities like Memory, observation, imagination, thinking, innovation must be accompanied by the attention. Only by attention, people can launch a series of perceptual activity and be influenced by the demonstration event, which can produce the learning process. Cognitive psychology of information processing thinks that individuals cannot identify and select information without attention, thus unable to get information and process it. From this we can see the importance of attention to people. To the pupils, attention affects person’s intelligence development and the mental health. Meanwhile, it also has significant correlation with academic level.6-12years old is the golden age of children’s mental development. Therefore, it is very important to make an accurate measurement to find problem and correct it timely.Through literature survey,we find that the main methods of attention test are.pencil and paper test, biological feedback and so on. These methods have unique advantages but also application problems. This paper presents a novel approach which uses a Kinect-based computer scenario system for the measurement of children’s attention. It simulates the real-life scenarios by computer multimedia technology to provide a realistic and immersive environment. The user will complete the basic everyday life tasks In such a virtual scenario. Thanks to Kinect,the user can use the natural interactive mode--body movements to control the application. Thus it can better reflect the attention in real. The experimental study proves the feasibility and applicability of this system with a detailed analysis of the test results, reliability and validity analysis. Finally, it can be used by schools and families to measure and track children’s attention at any time through Internet. With the results, we can develop an appropriate training plan for the children. |
