Lirong firstly proposed the word “Jinyu language”,which means the dialectexisting Ru tone in Shanxi Province and the nearby.Datong is located in the north ofShanxi,belonging to the areas of Jinyu language. The retroflex suffixation generallyexists,but is not widely studied.This paper applies the methods of description method,comparision method and survey method to show the characteristics of the retroflexsuffixation in Datong dialect.This paper is divided into eight chapters.The fiest chapter is instructions.The first chapter briefly describes the geographicalprofile of Datong,geomorphic type and product resources,focuses on the Datong dialectstudy and methods,and the meaning and value.From chapter two to chapter seven are described in nouns,verbs,abjectives,numerals,quantifiers,pronouns,adverbs,the retroflex suffixation of seven parts of speech.Thischapter discusses the flexible form,semantic changes,the conditions and the functionsinto the sentences in details to summarize the language features of different parts ofspeech.The chapter eight mainly compares the similarities and differences of the retroflexsuffixation between Datong and Beijing by the words suffixated both in Beijing dialectand in Datong dialect,the words not suffixated in Beijing dialect,but suffixated inDatong and the words not suffixated in Datong dialect,but suffixated in Beijing so thatwe can preferably uncover the rules of the retroflex suffixation in Datong.The focus of this paper is the retroflex suffixation in the common parts ofspeech.we can uncover the rules of the retroflex suffixation in Datong by thecomparation between Datong and Beijing dialect.For example,in Datong dialect existsthe construction“verbs+顿儿”,which does not exists in Mandarin.“圪word”is intractinto the retroflex suffixation and so on.This kind of form is very flexible and we can seethe discussion in the opposite section.It is helpful to keep the Datong dialect andexpand Mandarin by the author′study.
