Recent years, with language teaching and research focusing on individual differences of learners, learning styles and needs which serves as an important branch of individual differences research have attracted more and more attention by language researchers.From the perspective of learning styles, empirical studies on foreign students’ learning needs in Chinese classroom learning was carried out,and we found that foreign students different learning styles tend to have different learning needs in Chinese classroom learning. Finally, basing on the results, relevant advice on Chinese classroom teaching was made.The thesis consists of six chapters:Chapter I:Introduction. It gives us a general overview of the whole study including the research background and reason, the process, value and methods of this research.Chapter II:Literature review.This chapter gives an overview of the theory and related research findings of learning styles and learning needs,which is the basis and foundation part of this paper.Chapter III:Research design and implementation.It mainly talks about research objectives, research ideas and methods, research objects and tools as well as the design and implementation of the questionnaire.Chapter IV:The analysis of the survey results.The statistics mainly comes from3parts:foreign students’ learning styles and their different learning needs in Chinese classroom,the interview of teachers and students and classroom observation.Chapter V:Teaching countermeasures and suggestions. According to the survey results of students learning Chinese style and their learning needs and the actual Chinese in classroom teaching, and thus we give some countermeasures and suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Chapter VI:Conclusion.This chapter makes a summarization and points out some shortcomings of this study, and some recommendations are also made for further study.
