On Shen Congwen 's Prose Creation In The Period Of Southwest China

Shen Congwen is one of the most important writers in the history of modernChinese literature, he has provided an enlightening sample for literature in a uniqueway of twentieth Century. The prose creation of Southwest Associated Universityplays a vital role in Shen Congwen’s literary creation, great changes have taken placeboth in content and form, the author begins to present image by form, settling into theabstract lyrical stage and turning from external reality narrations to people’s socialcare. Through the text analysis of creative prose in this period, combining with theunique experience of the author’s life, this thesis tries to discuss the impact on itscreation of the works of this period from two different angles—emotional depth andspiritual manifestations, and then analyzes the author’s outstanding artisticachievement and creative style changes during this period and further explores theauthor’s mentality of this period.This article consists of three chapters. Chapter one concentrates on the analysisof his construction of self-image in this period, exploration of psychological journeyof the writer; Chapter two focuses on Shen Congwen’s thinking of the life reflected inthe prose creation of Southwest Associated University, the relationship betweenthoughts and unique thinking in his works； Chapter three puts emphasis on theanalysis of Shen Congwen’s prose style and change of form.
