With the rapid development of international education in Hainan, more and moreRussian students choose to study in China. They have become the biggest groups ofinternational students who are studying in Hainan. Therefore, more and moreattention has been paid to their study adaptation and life adaptation in Hainan. Asthe construction of international tourism island rises for national strategy, Hainangets the unprecedented historical opportunity for development. Internationaleducation expands, and also more chances for communication and cooperation.International Chinese language education and recruiting foreign students havebecome increasingly active. At the same time, based on the requirements of theinternational tourism island construction, developing the high-quality education forinternational students is one of the deployment strategies for “come in”. In order tomake good preparations for Russian students’ education and management under thenew situation, it is necessary for us to investigate their cross-cultural adaptation inHainan, helping them understand their behaviors and emotional tendency, adjustingtheir study and life in different cultural environment. This paper focuses on theRussian students in the universities of Hainan, with the aim of investigating theircross-cultural adaptation in the new cultural environment from language adaptation,study and psychology adaptation, environmental adaptation, interpersonal adaptation.The results of the investigation can make us make the fully understanding forRussian students, and improve the International Chinese language education and themanagement.
