| Making a general observation of Wang Xiaohui’s life and development process of her works, we can see clearly almost all the methods of expression and visual form in her video creations. From her video style, the audience can experience her strong heartful feelings for life, death and love. In her urban photography, human body photography, portrait photography, concept photography, she mingled them with the female perspective and aesthetic psychology, confidence and strong conceptuality, finally she found a unique and powerful way of expression,by this she not only surpassed traditional images, but also formed her unique style. Her works are full with words and expressions of both emotional and rational power, the feeling of lost aesthetic and surrealism. This paper tries to study from every field she involved, from female aesthetics, female identity, female consciousness, these three angles,to analyze the value of her works.This paper consists four parts. Chapter one, I will try to interpret and dig the hidden information of Wang Xiaohui’s early landscape and human body works from the view of female aesthetics. Chapter two will analyze the symbols and Sexual consciousness in her flower photography to search for the value of female identity. Chapter three will analyze the deeper expression of the subjective consciousness in space in her portrait photography from the very essence of female consciousness. Chapter four goes from the perspective of contemporary photography to analyze Wang Xiaohui’s private photography and abstract photography. The conclusion will present the fact that in the entire creating career, though there have been various subjects involved, but essentially there is a internal continuation. From the pursuit of beauty in the early stage to the inner subconscious mind germination into the category of contemporary photography, during the process of the creation of the progressive transformation finally she completed the criticism of the society. |
