Four String Quartet and Orchestra "Four Tang Poems" is a famous Chinese American composer ZhouLong in 1995 at the New York Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra and National Arts Council of the UnitedAmerica commissioned and creation, and by the Kronos String Quartet Orchestra in New York in fourBrooklyn Music Center Opera House "the next wave" Music Festival premiere. The composer’s creativeinspiration from the four famous poets in the Tang Dynasty poems, and according to the sequencedistribution in four different movements, and the collision of multiple culture of the four movementsregardless of subject matter or creative ideas, novelty and imagination. Music composer design means rich,changed the previous fusion of Chinese and western, the band prepared in the form of solo folk music andWestern orchestra Concerto, four string quartets but by substituting the Guqin and Orchestra Concertoform, and borrows the diversity in Guqin fingering Western string to performance of Tang Dynasty relicsof the delicate and majestic, unique exudes the unique national characteristics of musical ideas carriercharm. Not only is the timbre of musical instruments, music from many aspects, such as rotary method,sound structure, fully inherit and extend the splendid connotation of traditional music elements. This paperwill be the week long four string quartet and Orchestra "four Tang Poems" as the research object, through acomprehensive study of the two aspects of creative thinking and the analysis of structure, in order toexplore the composer is how to inherit the traditional, draw lessons from outside form and expression ofpoetry rhyme.The paper consists of introduction, the theory and conclusion of three parts:The part has five movements; the first charpter is mainly on the works of nationalization pitchstructure and melody thinking analysis, mainly consists of three aspects: one is the single cavity structureof sound; two is a linear melody structure of five acoustic mode as the basis; three is the chord structurefive tone tone tonality longitudinal expansion.The second chapter is mainly on the works of the national timbre thinking analysis,divided intotwo aspects: one is the Guqin tamber imitation; two is not the traditional notation method and influence onthe tone of the new mark.The third chapter is mainly on the diversity of works of rhythm thinking analysis, divided into twoaspects: one is the analysis of non standardized rhythm state; two is the rhythm counterpoint formedmultiple legato rhythm combination.The fourth chapter mainly carries on the analysis to the work from the diversification of the structureform of thinking under the influence of gradual change, one is the use of structural shift principle; two is adynamic structure of the Chinese and Western thinking; the three is the effect of structure on the formstructure of poetry.The fifth charpter is the fusion of cross culture and aesthetic orientation of study.
