A Study On Jewish Settlement In Jerusalem

Jews in Palestine has more than two hundred years history of migration and establishing settlement. The establishment of the early Jewish settlements for finally laid a solid foundation for the founding of The state of Israel. After The Six Day War in1967, Israel is illegal building of Jewish settlements in the occupied land. It leads to complication in the Middle East and becomes one of the biggest obstacles to the Israeli-Palestinian relations to normal.Because of Jerusalem’s holy religious status and historical reasons, it is very important in the Palestinian and Israeli people’s heart. So in the settlements, the problem of Jerusalem’s Jewish settlements are the most complex and most difficult to solve. In this paper, I take Jewish settlement in Jerusalem as example. I combed through Jerusalem Jewish settlement building and the development process, based on the analysis of Israeli-Palestinian impact on Jerusalem Jewish settlements and a series of problems, and the international community’s attitude toward settlements in the region, and then discusses the issue of Jewish settlements on the impact of the solution of Jerusalem issue. I expect this paper will help understand complex problem in Jerusalem. Finally, I make forecast to settlements possible solutions.
