There are two aspects of the most importance in natural language processing in Tibetan:’lexical analysis’and’syntactic analysis’. Lexical analysis is to analyze the lexical meaning and grammatical meaning of a class of words in a sentence structure. The method of the lexical analysis is unrelated to external attributes of words, but only to study the internal structure of the words. In recent years, researches on the lexical analysis are successful of Tibetan language information processing; applications and research findings have been widely shared and spread through the Internet. Syntactic analysis, which analyzes the relationship among words, is an analysis of functions and components of a word in a sentence. The method of the syntactic analysis is unrelated to internal attributes of a word, but to study the external relations.This article studies the syntactic properties of the Tibetan psychological verbs by Valence grammatical theories and Argument structure theories. Then it discusses the ways of the property descriptions, such as argument amount, argument role, grammatical structure, semantic feature of psychological verbs and the importance of formal language depiction, machine translation, information extraction and etc. There are5chapters in this article. Chapter1is an introduction, which describes the status of the study on the Tibetan psychological verbs, especially by Valence grammatical theories and Argument structure theories, at home and abroad. In Chapter2, it contrasts the classification of verbs in traditional grammar and in information processing. Also, it discuses the original resources and amount of the Tibetan psychological verbs; then it classifies these verbs by emotional types. The Chapter3introduces Valence grammatical theories and classifies verbs by those theories. The Chapter4studies the property descriptions carefully, such as argument amount, argument role, grammatical structure, semantic feature of psychological verbs. The Chapter5studies the uses of a shallow semantic attribute library by Microsoft Access database demos.
