Talk About My Portraits

Art comes from life, life offers artists the material of painting, and theportrait as the most common existence in the life, it occupies an importantposition in the long river of the art of painting. I have been keen to focuson the person’s image, feeling the people and things around, to observeand found,showing the image that infected me by the way I want, I intendto show the character’s spiritual level. So I put portrait as the direction ofthe exploration and practice during my graduate student,to dig deeper. Ihave benefited a lot from this process.This paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter islocalization of the content and form. Because of the concern for portraits,I locate the subject in the portraits. However, any thing has to be thoughtin what forms of moving pictures, so I began the exploration of forms andlanguage. The second chapter is the analysis of my portrait series.In thechapter I respectively from the "real" vision, the spiritual convey, thebeauty in form, unification of modeling and artistic conception above4aspects to show four characteristics of my portrait,and demonstrate it bymy own pictures. The third chapter is the reflection of my portrait. Iinevitably encounter obstacles in the creative practice process, only theconstant reflection and summarized that I would have a greater progressin the painting attainments. In the creation of the future, I will continuelearning and exploring, and then to guide my own artistic practice.
