Modern crafts design information in today’s high-tech social environment, relying on a background of traditional crafts creation tool developed. Modern crafts creative way and work style because of its strong experimental feature and is different from the traditional arts and crafts, often bring people mental and physical stimulation and fulfillment double. Nanjing Institute of the Arts School of Design, so far has developed a large number of outstanding modern arts and crafts designer, implemented based on the international contemporary multi-cultural arts background, with profound traditional Chinese culture is based on the soil to the experimental design as the core of modern education in arts and crafts talents training mode. In this paper was evident and see the whole picture of the way, after three screened Eighteen graduates graduation reported as a case study, in-depth analysis from different angles experimental design modern crafts creative ideas, designers and test their psychological journey ways and means; interpretation of experimental design and innovation inherent in the profound meaning of the experimental design to explore the culture of modern arts and crafts talents to the value and significance. This is part of a graduation project report, to show us is a microcosm of the development trend of China’s modern arts and crafts, it is emphasized that one academic "experimental design" philosophy of practical achievement and innovation.
