Mei Lanfang visited the United States in 1930 and the youth version of "the Peony Pavilion" visited the United States in 2006 are important events in the history of China and USA theatrical exchange.Two events have made success in different social background and attracted the attention of mainstream society of USA. A visit to the United States is in the relatively rare External communication of Chinese opera during the period of the Republic of China, is the real meaning of the JingJu for the mainstream of Western society spread; one is on the rise of Chinese opera external communication in the 21 st century, is rare tour in the United States and caused by main stream media attention of Kunqu opera performances.The same detailed planning and publicity, a deep understanding of both eastern and Western culture are the same aspect and prerequisite for success of two events. The audience’s unique positioning and foreign media evaluation is due to background difference.are their different aspects.Through the comparative study of the two events, Analysising a key part of the international communication of Chinese opera to wish the current exchange of China and foreign learning and thinking.
