Research On The Application Of Chinese Character Font In Business Poster

As a writing system to record Chinese language, Chinese characters have been once used or been presently used in Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese. Chinese characters, as one of the most ancient written language in the world, boast a history of over several thousand years. Narrowly speaking, they are the written language of Han nationality; broadly speaking, they serve as the common written language within their own cultural circle.Someone pointed out once that "the 21st century will be an era of Chinese characters." It’s believed that in the near future, Chinese characters will become the most influential information carrier and communication tool across the globe. The use of Chinese characters will enjoy a broader space, and they will become the internationally common written language.Through comprehensive collation, this thesis attempts to provide a systemic reference basis for Chinese character font design and contribute to the development of Chinese character font design in the area of world graphic design. Through checking a large number of periodical papers, literature, ancient materials as well as field investigation and on the basis of grasping the development of evolution of Chinese characters, the historical skeleton of Chinese character development has been successfully sorted out by combining the viewpoints of different scholars. With commercial posters as the carrier and based on a large number of commercial cases, the formation layout of different types of Chinese character font designs and the emotional images conveyed by them are expounded in detail.Through discussion mode of combining theoretical knowledge with practical cases, this thesis concludes based on detailed analyses that Chinese character font design serves as an excellent graphic design category, which will play an important role in future design development. It will not be impracticable to stand still and refuse to make progress or seek innovation and changes. Therefore, to seek a new path for poster design, bold attempts and explorations should be made in the application of the formation style, trend, aesthetics and font design of characters, so as to seek multiple possibilities of character expression in a multi-perspective and diversified manner.
