Language is not only an important communication tool of human society but also the carrier of culture. Language and culture are closely connected with each other, the two is actually a synthesis which keeps a state of harmony, and should not be separated as oil above water. The relationship between language and culture indicates that language itself contains many cultural factors which are embodied in every aspect of pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and other language elements. Moreover, language is the carrier of culture. Therefore, it is very important for someone to understand the cultural background of a foreign language if he wants to master it.This paper takes Advanced Comprehensive Course of Developing Chinese Series as an example. It made a qualitative and quantitative analysis to the cultural factors in the textbook and discussed the ways of cultural introduction based on the book. In addition, it also summarized the advantages and disadvantages of different cultural introductions adopted in the book. It is supposed to afford some feasible methods of cultural introduction during international Chinese teaching as a foreign language. The paper covers four parts. The first part mainly introduces the research background, the significance of the topic and the present achievements. The second part mainly discusses the definition of the word "culture" as well as its classification during international Chinese teaching. Besides, the correlative cultural factors involved are added up,and methods of cultural introduction in Chinese teaching are also analyzed. Then it comes to the third part in which merits and drawbacks of culture-introducing ways in the textbook are summed up. At last, the principles that must be followed during the whole process of cultural introduction are put forward and some useful advices are raised meanwhile.
