The exercise of Chinese textbook was composed of exercise instruction and the content of the exercise. Exercise instruction provides students with the requirement, procedure and practice task before doing the exercise. Exercise instruction was very important to both students and teachers. Both students and teachers obtain the requirement, procedure and practice task which is necessary for the exercise from the exercise instruction. So, exercise instruction is the fundamental basis for the completion of exercise. However, the research focus on exercise instruction is very weak, and most of researches were text-based researches. And few research focus on the teaching idea which is reflected by exercise instruction.This paper takes exercise instruction in the elementary part of Integrated Chinese and New Practice Chinese Reader as main object of study. This paper aimed at concluding the features of the exercise instruction in those two textbooks through investigating, analyzing and comparing by the methods of quantitative analysis, qualitatively analysis and comparative analysis, and hope to give some advice for the compilation of exercise instruction.This paper is divided into six parts. The first part introduces the significance of the topic, the key concepts and the summary of researches related to Chinese textbook. The second part introduces the research objective, object, ideas, processes and methods. The third part is the investigation and analysis of exercise instructions in Integrated Chinese. The fourth part is the investigation and analysis of exercise instructions in New Practice Chinese Reader. The fifth part is to compare the features of exercise instructions in two textbooks and sum up the features and problems of the of writing of exercise instruction in elementary Chinese textbook. The last part is to summarize the main points and indicate the lack of the research. |
