A Study On The Newly Developed Historical Drama

New historical drama "Xiang Yu" originated from the famous Xiang Yu’s story in our country, to join the contemporary aesthetic ideas, "Xiang Yu" innovates the plot and characters of script,and it makes Xiang Yu’s story in contemporary still has vitality. "Xiang Yu" performance got the people’s praise and recognition, but at the same time it still has some problems. The development of the profit and loss of "XiangYu" provides a good reference for the development of the contemporary new historical play.Introductory part of this article by analyzing the causes and current study on the "Xiang Yu", drama "contemporary" research review, the meaning and value of research presented in this paper. The text consists of four parts:The first part: grasp new historical drama "Xiang Yu" story and image. This part generalizes Xiang Yu’s ancient stories and images in the history, poetry, novels, folklore and opera, it provides the basis for "Xiang Yu" script research.The second part: new historical drama "Xiang Yu" script research. This part analysis the plot, characters, structure and features, and finds out the inheritance and innovation from the former generation.The third part: new historical drama "Xiang Yu" performance and audience research.Through the investigation and analysis of performance and basic situation, it is concluded that "Xiang Yu’s" success and deficiency in terms of performance and audience.The fourth part: By "Xiang Yu" looking at the development of the contemporary new historical play. This part firstly illustrates the contemporary and its basic characteristics,secondly "Xiang Yu" is regarded as an example to analyze its performance and problems in contemporary development, finally it has carried on the preliminary exploration to the development of the contemporary new historical play.
