Currently, about the research of the teaching ofAdversative Conjunction, Causal Conjunction and Hypothesis Conjunction is very rich, but few people concerned to the fieldofContinuing Conjunctionteaching. Thus,we ignore the important role of Continuing Conjunction in verbal communication. Through the methods of literature research, comparative analysis and survey and statistic, wemake an in-depth investigationfrom every angle to common Continuing Conjunction in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Reviewing the literature and dictionaries and retrieving the authoritative corpus, at first we determine how many Continuing Conjunctions in Modern. Then comparing with the Outline Ranking Chinese Vocabularies and New HSK Vocabulary Syllabus, we found some Continuing Conjunctions that should pay more attentions in teaching. And then with the help of the analysis about usage in Modern Chinese Frequency Dictionary, we exclude the lower frequencies Continuing Conjunctions, and ultimately determine the object of our study, they are, "well、so、then、hence、and yet、as for、then " and so on. After that, we make a detailed description of each of the above Continuing Conjunctions meaning, usage, functions and the special usages as discourse markers after grammaticalization. That laid a solid foundation for the accuracy of the language teaching about Continuing Conjunctions. Finally, we integrate Continuing Conjunctions teaching and Classroom interaction theory, and get some macroscopic inspirations on Chinese language teaching for foreigners. But also we do error analysis undertaken the acquisition on the senior stage students.
