Chinese painting is a traditional form of painting and has a style of in own in the field of art across the world.. WIth a long history and a unique form of expression, it is an important part of traditional culture in China. In Chinese traditional painting, figure painting is the earliest and has the longest history.Meticulous figure painting as one branch,is the most mature one. Meticulous figure painting start from Qin Dynasty, developed in the Han and Jin Dynasty and reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty. Since the rise of the Yuan dynasty literati painting, meticulous figure painting declined.During the "Cultural Revolution" period, new meticulous figure painting meet a serious obstacle at its start line. Large quantities of the painter devoted themselves into the description of leaders, heroes and workers,lacking of fresh subject andtechniques. Since the twentieth Century, with the new Chinese reform and opening up, meticulous figure painting has a rapid development and during the process of development, unique artistic pattern and complete performance techniques formed.Through my literary creation,I realized that every technique has its unique characteristic, no matter the traditional painting techniques and modern painting techniques.In learning and using new techniques I also found different effects can be reached by using special materials and forms.Finding more suitable techniquesduring creation and using it in the later painting.
