This paper mainly adopts the comparative analytical method and experimental metho-d,taking Chinese ending consonants and Korean ending consonants as research objects,for an analysis on the Kroean ending consonants mispronunciation which the Chinese st udents made. Then, the cause of these mistakes are explained and then suggestions are given about pronunciation correcting.This paper is divided into six chapters, over30,000 words in all.Chapter One is the introduction to this treatise.It mainly covers a rationale for this thesi s,methodologies, theoretical foundation,and present research situation, related study and i nnovations of this thesis.In Chapter Two, the author uses relavant theories and the method of phonology, an d introduces the development of Chinese and Korean ending consonants. This thesis ma kes a comparison between ancient Chinese phonology and Chinese character,in Korean,and demonstrates that there are many ancient Chinese traces in the Korean phonology.Chapter Three interprets Chinese and Korean consonant systems, from the view,of the articulation manner and positions as well as phonics rules,and analyzes the similarti-es and differences to predict errors related to Korean ending consonants by chinese stu dents theoretically.In Chapter Four,a production experiment is designed. 30 English major college stude nts are chosen as research subjects, then,the experiment data are analyzed and the erro rs are discussed.In the Chapter Five, the causes are illustrated,and some proposals for teaching and learning are put forward.Chapter Six is the conclusion of the thesis. It presents the major findings of this re search, and gives a conclusive remark about limitations and recommendations for futureresearch.Generally,negative language transfer can be divided into two branches:interli ngual negative transfer and intralingual negative transfer.Relevant research must be made in reference to them.
