Research On Urban Community Old - Age Service

With the rapid development of Chinese economy and the advances of medicaltechnical, the average life expectancy of our population increase as the elderlyproportion of the population increases, so that our population has been graduallyshowing increasing trends of elder population. This social phenomenon has led to thepractice that a young couple has to feed four elderly people, which increase theburden on the young. Then, it is necessary to strengthen community-based aged careservices, which can reduce the burden of relatively young people, while also preventthe elderly from the aged care problem.In this context, the author analyzed and discussed the community care services,summarized the real causes of the problems of the urban community care services andbrought them into analysis by conducting field surveys into the situation ofrepresentative Kunming Xishan District Yongheli community care services. Theauthor also analyzed the necessity and feasibility of urban community service for theaged, summed up the advantages of urban community service for the aged and theviability of promoting it in China, and put forward practical measures andrecommendations. Comparing to a significant increase in demand for care in theaccelerating the process of population aging, aged care seems in serious shortage ofsize and capacity. To develop community aged care services is a necessarycomplement to China’s Social Security system and also a strategic choice to solve oururban aged care problem.In this paper, the author conducted a comprehensive analysis on situation ofrepresentative Kunming Xishan District Yongheli community care services bycollecting detailed data, collating information. In conclusion, the author pointed outthat community care model is basically suitable for the situation of Kunming City,which is suitable for the elderly, satisfying and affordable. Community aged caremodel is in favor of Kunming economic development, because it not only reduces theburden on young people so that young people do not have to worry about their future,but also injects vitality for economic development and allows the elderly no longerworry about old age live. In addition, people approaching retirement age do not haveto worry about the aged care problem, which makes them willing to retire, so that theyouth unemployment problem will not get too serious. Development of anything hastwo sides. The author conducted site surveys on some of the issues that appear in the model. Based on the knowledge and information, the author summarized andconsolidated other people’s methods to propose measures for solving these problems.Measures are such as government funding and the introduction of relevant policies,the establishment of a professional team to build and improve the health care system,to combine community service and aged care institutions.Due to limited time, energy and theoretical level, the author finds deficiencies intheoretical analysis and compared study. And the author did not carry out furtherrefine work of the community aged care running model, such as how to play an activerole in community care for other related industries, how to embed community cultureand characteristics into this aged care mode. These are the defects of this article, andalso the direction of future research. The author believes the approach of communityaged care can play a greater role in response to the aging of our population, and alsohas an important significance on letting aged people living comfortably for theirremaining years and building a harmonious society.
