With the rapid expansion of sensor network in military and civilian. A few of secure problems which need to be solved immediately has been exposed gradually. One of the greatest challenges problems in the security of sensor networks is the broadcast authentication. The most broadcast authentication protocols have not solved the DOS attacks which aim at the process of broadcast authentication in sensor network. The research has shown that the valid broadcast authentication protocols are able to prolong the network lifetime and improve the resilience toward network damage.Therefore, how to utilize these pre-existing broadcast authentication protocols and techniques to design a valid and safe broadcast authentication protocol has become an important issue and needs to be explored, so this paper focuses on the study of broadcast authentication protocols which can resist DOS attacks in sensor networks.Firstly, this paper makes a survey about broadcast authentication protocols for sensor networks that includes background and significance,the evaluation metrics of the broadcast authentication protocols and the taxonomy. Moreover, several typical protocols for broadcast authentication of sensor networks problems are depicted. More specifically, these protocols are discussed in detail, and advantages and disadvantages of the protocols are summarized. These contents can became the foundation of the broadcast authentication protocols for sensor networks.Secondly, this paper clearly depicts the chief technichques which will be useed in broadcast authentication protocols. These made a fundation of this paper in the following chapters.As key, this paper proposes two broadcast authentication protocols for the sensor networks. In order to solve the problem of DOS attacks which aim at the process of broadcast authentication, this paper provides a Pre-Filter Broadcast Authentication Protocol based on Multiple Puzzles in Cluster-type Sensor Network.The simulation experiment indicated that this protocol has greater performance than the existing broadcast authentication protocols for sensor networks.Contraposing the current broadcast authentication protocols in sensor network, the limited memery and the mass communication overhead, this paper provides a broadcast authentication protocol based on Compress Bloom Filter.The result indicated that this method effectively solved these problems .Finally, summarize the total paper and show the future works.
