With development of society and economy, family as integrated elements of people's lives and holographic epitome of economics, politics, sociology and culture, is playing more and more important in informational development of society. The purpose of family informatization is to provide information service in all domains by digitization and networking of family, to meet the commands of people's requirements in communications, entertainment, information, safety and housing and to improve quality of life and comfort level of family.Wireless communication is playing an important part in family informatization. With the continuous development of network bandwidth of wireless communication, the increasing variety of terminals and the improving capability of data service, Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) develops, perfects and becomes nationwide commerce. Doing research on TD-SCDMA applications in family informatization, especially developing end-to-end, operational and manageable systems of family service based on TD-SCDMA is going to drive family informatization to a higher level and promote industrial applications and development of TD-SCDMA.Third generation (3G) movie service belongs to family informatization project. The main purpose of 3G movie platform is to push films uninterruptedly to users by China Mobile Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) network. People purchase set-top boxes as terminals and then they could watch films introduced by China Mobile. The application layer is to manage 3G movie service, through which administrators of mobile operators could manage films, broadcast messages of films and ticket information and check usage log of services of the platform.This paper focuses on discussion of design and implementation of application layer in 3G movie service. The first chapter introduces the background of 3G movie service. Chapter two mainly introduces 3G movie platform, including 3G movie service definition, features and structure of service platform, describes the role of service application layer in 3G movie platform and then proposes corresponding design plan and discusses characteristics of several related technologies. Along with these characteristics, this chapter explains why the platform adopt ExtJS and FleaPHP framework as basic technologies. The third chapter describes requirement analysis of application layer in 3G movie platform. With Chapter three, Chapter four introduces detailed design and implementation of the application layer, including procedure of design, ideas of implementation and analysis of key technology during implementation. The main purpose of 3G movie platform is to transfer high-definition films, which cannot use general Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) for transmission when uploaded from local machine to server of 3G movie platform. This transmission mode is with great limitations and relatively small data, for high-definition movie it is necessary to design another transmission mode to achieve the goal of successful transmission. From the web front-end perspective chapter six basically describes performance optimization and perfection of application layer in 3G movie platform. The chapter six summarizes the contents of former five chapters.
